It amazes me how quickly time goes by and how fast my kids are growing up before my eyes. I’ve been trying to get better at taking quick snapshots of my kids. Wanted to share a few with you!

Lily recently started eating solids and I of course had to get some photos of the event! Andrew pulled up a chair for this lovely photo.

and here is my baby girl chilling in her play pen. She’s got some wild hair and some beautiful eyes! We aren’t quite sure what color they will end up being but I’m thinking they are going to be hazel. This past week I ordered a 16×20 of the first photo I took of the two of them together. When I get it I’ll be sure to post a photo of it! Until then, take care!

Wow… it has been awhile since I have posted! We’ve been busy! Life is going great. Lily is such a sweet baby and Andrew is quite smitten by her, we all are! I am just about done editing all of her newborn photos and have found the perfect birth announcement so I’m getting it ready to send out! Just wanted to check in and say hello, I’m still here just super busy! Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for stopping by!

The *new* site!!

Welcome to my new blogsite!!! It’s a blog and website combined and I LOVE it and I hope you will too! It’s still being tweaked but I wanted to get it live and going so bear with me if things change a bit! Yesterday I had posted all these photos but I forgot to transfer them to the new blog so I will share them with you now! This past week we celebrated Andrew’s 3rd birthday. I seriously can not believe my little boy is THREE! It amazes me how different he is and how I can have a conversation with him and he can tell me exactly what he does and doesn’t want.  This was the first year he really enjoyed his birthday! His first birthday he was sick, the second one he wasn’t really into it, but this one he understood that the cake was for him and that all the presents were for HIM and that opening them was fun! He has such good manners and told everyone thank you after each present was opened. If you haven’t met him he will keep telling you thank you until you respond with your welcome!

ah the knifty knitter… I’ve become friends with it. It’s Tuesday and I’ve made four hats this week already! I’m quite proud of myself!! There are a couple more I want to make and I’m going to make one for Andrew not that he really needs a hat right now but hey why not? He can wear it in the house!

ok so I missed 5 on Friday…. but that’s because we were driving up to Austin!  Today I had a maternity session with Elle from Ella Bella Photography (see my blog roll) it was such a different experience being in front of the camera rather than behind!! I’m anxiously awaiting the sneak peek! Austin is completely different from San Antonio. Lots of colored walls and interesting people! One thing that has amused us while being here is how dogs are EVERYWHERE! Andrew loves that though! I’m sitting in the hotel room as it’s raining… thankfully the weather was sunny earlier today!  This week has been full of projects for me. I knitted YES knitted a little hat, a cocoon bowl, and a hanging pouch. Oh… and I finished painting Andrew’s new wall letters. I’ll have to post some photos later of all my projects when I get back home. Little Lily is being a good girl and staying put! I have a feeling she’s going to be a long baby she’s run out of room in my tummy!!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Take care!

5 on Friday!

ok so this is my first time doing this… I’ve been looking forward to this all week to post!!!

1. Bedrest… it sounds so relaxing and wonderful but in reality it’s frustrating. I want to do all these things since I have so much time on my hands since I am on leave from work. Yesterday Andrew and I drove up the street to get the mail becuase I HAD to drive… shh It’s really weird how when you can drive you get sick of driving and when you can’t suddenly you want to.

2. My child is going to have a name complex… I can’t decide Liliana or Alexis. I go back and forth I want to name her Liliana but my mind still wants to say Lexi. Someone name my child… please!

3.  I’m really hungry ALL the time. More than a pregnant gal should be and I can’t work out at the moment so yeah… gotta get some healthy fulfilling snacks… ideas anyone??

4.  I love my ju ju be bags… I like to just look at them. I sold a couple and I have a little something on it’s way for a special friend.  In a couple more weeks I’ll finally be able to carry my perky bespicy!! I need a ju ju be anonymous group.

5. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my d300 it seriously makes me happy. I love the way the shutter snaps so quickly! It was my um self given mother’s day gift that I got early. I tend to do that… buy something and look at Jared so lovingly and say put it towards my mothers day gift! We’ll see what happens when my new stroller and car seat adaptor show up… gotta make room to um “hide” the boxes!!!

Just wanted to tell everyone happy mother’s day! It’s been one week since I went into preterm labor.  Last Sunday my little girl made an attempt for an early debut but thankfully my doctor and the nurses were able to stop the contractions.  I’ve been put on bedrest until 35 weeks so I’ve spent a lot of time updating the blog this weekend (like the new look?) amongst sitting on the couch….It’s hard to believe that our little girl could make her debut any day but hopefully she’ll wait a few more weeks!!!

I have been wanting and begging for Jared to let me get a new camera. I’m happy to announce that I have a d300 on it’s way to me and should be in my hands next week on friday. I’m hoping it arrives sooner but I’m just happy it’s coming!!! My d50 is all packed up and ready to ship out to it’s new mama who I hope loves it!! Did I mention that I love my husband?? I know it was hard for the words OK to come out of his mouth about getting a new camera for me and I’m sure he’ll dangle that when he wants to say have poker night but I suppose I can handle that anyways… here are some flower shots from easter.. the first is from my little rose bush that blooms seriously only in the spring. It’s called American Beauty. It’s pink and smells wonderful!

and this is from my grandma’s garden… I have no idea what it is but it reminds me of a pineapple!

on a side note…. keep your fingers crossed that I passed my glucose test!!! Lexi and I really don’t want to have to give up sugar!

What a week!

This week was simply amazing!! My best friend Jen, texted me at 3:30am that she had her baby girl! So I took of Monday afternoon and tuesday and drove up to Round Rock to go see her and meet the new bundle of joy. She is so beautiful and tiny!!! I’ve been busy editing photos from the hospital visit and am really excited about taking newborn photos for her! I also got to check out the IKEA store and got some props for newborn sessions. So excited about that! On thursday I got my Real Mom Giveaway bag from Ju Ju Be. I entered a weekly contest and my submission was chosen! They give you a free diaper bag of your choice. I LOVE my JJB bags so many choices! Here are some of the bags I have minus the two black bags Really the only bags are the pink bag and the blue/green bag! The other items are just little accessories!

it is a drip drops beprepared! I LOVE it! I’m going to use it as my hospital bag and it’s also great for two kids and taking long trips!

As if that wasn’t enough to be happy about that same night we opened the mail to find out I had been awarded a $5000 check to put towards my student loans! I’m pretty excited about that!

God has definitely been GOOD to me this week! Hopefully the goodness will continue when I go take my counseling skills test!!!!
